My name is Dave Mennicucci. My wife, Deborah, and our 2 boys, David and Eric, have lived on the Outer Banks of North Carolina over 18 years. I started Hands of Gold Home Improvements in 2006, wanting to own a business that could do everything from the roof line to the curb. I named the company Hands of Gold Home Improvements because when I was young, my Grandma used to tell me I had hands of gold.
Whether you need a small punch list of work completed or you are looking for your whole house to be painted, Hands of Gold can do it all! We serve all of the Outer Banks, from Corolla to Hatteras and all towns in between. We do quality work in so many trades. We can do plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, landscaping, water features, irrigation, all types of flooring, holiday lighting, home repair and maintenance , and pressure washing. Hands of Gold has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau for 10 years! Hands of Gold works with both local residents and those that either have a second home here or those that rent out their homes. Our prices are fair and we can provide references upon request and are happy to provide free estimates.
Our family is incredibly proud of the community we live in! We enjoy showing our children how important it is to give back to the community you live in. Hands of Gold has sponsored a total of 10 soccer teams with our local soccer group, Outer Banks Youth Soccer Association. I do quite a Christmas light display every year, over 70,000 lights, and every year we collect donations at our Christmas light display. For 4 years, we have collected donations for our local food pantry, The Beach Food Pantry. And another year, we split our collections between our local SPCA of Dare County, Cystic Fibrosis, and Lifeline Outreach Food Pantry. Our family is also Keepers of Little Red Mailbox #12, Wesley's Mailbox, in Kitty Hawk. We built 2 bike racks for our local middle school, First Flight Middle School, with donations generously given to us by our local Lowes.
